OWNER: Rachel Hinz

Rachel started Eunos Detailing in 2017 and has been dedicated to providing customers with the best care since with help from her partner, Paul. She is able to transform an old vehicle into one that looks better than new, protect better than what is offered at most dealerships, or maintain patina in the classics. This includes interior detailing, polishing/paint correction, waxing, and ceramic coatings.

Being a car enthusiast she has an eye for detail and can not only spend a full day detailing a single vehicle, but can also zoom in on the details and create a realistic pencil crayon artwork to keep next to the car at shows and events, or just to frame for the garage.

Rachel is a big supporter of rescue dog organizations, but specifically Save a Dog Network Canada, and often holds headlight polishing fundraisers to not only brighten up the night, but also to fully support this rescue to save Manitoba dogs in need on the reserves.

OWNER: Caroline & Carson Phillips

Carson and Caroline Phillips founded Everlast Painting Inc. in 2018. Carson was keen to use his 30+ years of experience as a professional painter to create his own business serving residential and commercial customers.

The company was established in Clayton Heights in Surrey. Carson and Caroline moved their home and business to Maple Ridge in 2022 and have expanded their service area to include Burnaby through Mission, Langley, Surrey, and White Rock.

The family business now employs a team of professional painters and were voted 2024 A-List Favourite Residential Painter by the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows News.

OWNER: Victor Kulla

Victor is an owner of Huckleberry Landscape Design, a family-run company helping homeowners reimagine their outdoor spaces with thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and reliable care. Through The Huckleberry Approach, his team ensures landscape transformations are simple and stress-free.

Victor played a key role in Huckleberry earning COR Safety Certification and earned his Certified Horticultural Landscape Technician designation in 2019. He was named BCLNA’s Young Member of the Year in 2020 and Member of the Year in 2024. As 1st Vice Chair on the BCLNA Board of Directors and Technical Chair for both Skills BC and Skills Canada, he is committed to mentoring future landscape professionals.

Outside of work, Victor enjoys disc golf, golfing, DIY projects, and gardening—growing hot peppers and unique tomato varieties, even though he’s not a fan of either! He also enjoys storytelling through Dungeons & Dragons, creating characters and adventures with friends.

Victor is a proud father and husband, grateful for the support of his wife, which allowed him to found one of the first medical 3D printing companies on the West Coast in 2015. His guiding principles: Be Authentic, Show Up, Work Hard, and Stay Curious.

OWNER: Martin Duyvestyn

Martin has a long history as a horticultural professional, having been in the horticultural industry for over 20 years before transitioning into the irrigation construction industry.

He began designing and installing irrigation & landscape lighting systems in 2009.  He holds many irrigation industry certifications, and also teaches seminars and workshops each year.

University Sprinklers focuses on excellence in all aspects of Irrigation & Landscape Lighting installations, along with an excellent warranty on everything they design and install.

Martin loves hiking, camping, gardening, and all things outdoors, and has a passion for business and public relations.

Martin is blessed with a wonderful wife and four amazing kids.

OWNER: Cory Byron

Cory has been working in the electrical industry since 2001, starting his own company in 2008. Frustrated by the reputation of trades companies and set on providing a better experience for his clients, Cory coined the term “A Fresh Look on Trades” to describe his approach to operating an electrical company.

Cory is the lead estimator for Vancity Electric and epitomizes “customer service first”. Cory is very systems-driven and prides himself on the various programs and systems in place to support both his team and his clients. Cory also believes in the importance of giving back and has taken on many non-profit initiatives to support his community.

His clients appreciate him for his friendly demeanour, his ability to get back to you immediately and his many years of expertise.

Outside of electrical, Cory is a family man and the proud father to his 2 incredible children, Linden and Lola. Cory enjoys time with his family at Sproat Lake. He is an avid golfer and he is always up for a chat about the newest device or gadget on the market.

OWNER: Loris Barbieri

Loris has been in business since 1993, starting off as sub-contractor which saw him repairing and renovating rental and strata buildings, before moving on to home renovations. He has always had a knack for home repairs and enjoys using his skill set to help people.

Loris and his wife  moved to Walnut Grove in 2006 and started a family soon afterwards. He found the people of Walnut Grove to be warm and welcoming, so when they needed help, he was more than happy to oblige.

Loris founded Walnut Grove Reno in 2008. Initially focused on home repairs and carpentry, he soon shifted towards bathroom renovations, which has become his speciality.

Loris says he views what he does as beyond just a job and as an opportunity to help people, and takes great pride in his work.

OWNER: Mike Dahlman

My name is Mike Dahlman and I am the managing partner for the You Move Me franchise. We launched the business in 2013, believing that if we could employ young and energetic people who really enjoyed the physical nature of the job and genuinely wanted to help people, we would stand out in the market. Our numerous awards and even more online reviews would suggest we are on the right track. 

I started my entrepreneurial career in 2001, while attending the University of Victoria. I wanted the opportunity to build something from scratch and jumped in to help launch You Move Me. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to build my own team of amazing people and help shape the customer experience from the very beginning. 

Life’s not all work for me though, as in my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and three boys. We love exploring the outdoors, traveling, riding bikes, playing all kinds of sports and even working out together.

OWNER: Martin Jongejan

Martin’s journey into home cleaning service began following a serious motorcycle accident in 2008, which ended his career as a photographer and graphic designer and led him to start over from a challenging place in life.

In 2011, having lost everything and with limited resources, he launched his cleaning business, inspired by a desire for meaningful work that could positively impact his community and offer a stable, employee-centered work environment.

The company has since won multiple awards and is well-regarded for their Share The Care™ program, in which they donate free cleaning service to local individuals or familes in need.
